Dr. Mohamed Alkuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council & Advisory Board Member at ADGM Academy Research Centre, on our recent Cyber Resilience in the UAE Financial Sector event, hosted by the ADGM Academy Research Centre in collaboration with Rabdan Academy.

Speaking about the importance of building strong partnerships between research and industry to stay ahead of today's evolving cyber threats, His Excellency highlighted emerging risks such as AI-driven attacks and shadow AI, and stressed the need for our security strategies to evolve as quickly as the technologies we embrace.

🤝 As part of efforts to deepen strategic ties with the United Arab Emirates, the "Kazakhstan – United Arab Emirates" Business Forum was held at the Astana International Financial Centre during the official visit by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

🌏 This high-level forum brought together senior government officials and business leaders from both countries to explore #collaboration in key sectors, including digital technology, #finance, urban development, and the green economy.

🚀 Prominent companies such as Kazatomprom, QazaqGaz, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), AMEA Power, and Presight AI Kazakhstan participated, with numerous #B2B meetings held across #energy, #healthcare, #finance, and high-tech industries.

⚡ AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov had the honor of presenting to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and H.H. Sheikh Khaled the strategic role AIFC plays in advancing Kazakhstan–UAE investment partnerships.

On the 63rd floor of the BIFC, BFC hosted an IR event for participants of the Standard Training Course (STC) organized by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Training Institute.

Through presentations by Director Dr. Soongoo Ahn and Team Leader Euna Kim, we introduced the city of Busan and the Busan International Financial Center (BIFC) and efforts to make Busan a global hub city, including major developments such as the North Port redevelopment and the Gadeokdo new international airport project.

During the following Q&A and networking session, participants showed great interest in Busan's infrastructure and green policies. We sincerely thank all 42 trainees for joining us. #BFC #FATF #BIFC

Yesterday, a two-day Diaspora Initiatives Stocktaking workshop focused on leveraging diaspora contribution towards sustainable development, and identifying the key challenges and issues related to diaspora engagement, was jointly organized by the IOM (International Organization for Migration) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The objective is to harmonize Government's actions to facilitate effective and efficient engagement with the Mauritian diaspora.

The Mauritian Diaspora Scheme (MDS) is an initiative by the Government of Mauritius to facilitate the return of Mauritian expatriates and their descendants, providing them with a structured pathway to reintegrate into their homeland. This scheme offers significant fiscal and residency incentives that make it an attractive option for skilled and experienced individuals looking to settle in Mauritius.

Among the main benefits: income tax exemption on earnings both abroad and in Mauritius for up to ten years after returning, as well as exemptions from customs duties, excise duties, VAT, and registration duties on personal effects and vehicle purchases.
