π US dollar under pressure β confidence dwindles, but no global change of power in sight
The DVFA monthly question for July shows a remarkably differentiated picture:
Despite growing geopolitical uncertainties and erratic political decisions in the USA, the investment professionals of the DVFA do not expect a system change in the international financial structure.
π 71% think the U.S. dollar is overvalued in the long term π 60% no longer see US government bonds as a "safe investment" π 68% expect a moderate loss of importance for the USA β Only 13% believe that the global role of the US will not change βοΈ And the MSCI World, with a US weighting of over 66% (68%), is no longer considered an adequate benchmark by the majority (68%)
The independence of the US Federal Reserve is also increasingly being questioned: Around half expect actual political influence during the current presidency.
π¬ Conclusion: No "regime change" yet β but clear signals that the balance of power in the world financial system is beginning to shift.
