🏙️ Focus on sustainability reporting obligations

BdB, VÖB and GDV support municipal companies in ESG data collection – with new, practical instructions.

Although municipal utilities are often not yet directly covered by the CSRD, the need for standardised sustainability data is increasing: banks and insurers need it for risk analyses and regulatory disclosures.

Together with BDEW and VKU, the financial associations have developed a sector-specific handout that builds on the existing ESG data catalogue – and thus makes an important contribution to standardising ESG data collection in municipal services of general interest.

📌 An example of functioning cooperation between the real economy and the financial economy – and a building block for more transparency and sustainability.
