March 11, 2025. The IR for Financial Action Task Force (FATF) International Trainees was held on the 63rd floor of the BIFC, offering a panoramic view of Busan. We were honored to have 49 participants, including international trainees and FATF Training Institute staff. 🚢

The event featured a presentation on the development status of Busan's financial hub, followed by a discussion on future collaboration plans between BFC and FATF. 🪙

This IR marks a significant opportunity for Busan to further establish itself as a financial center. We appreciate your continued support for the Busan International Financial Center. 🏢

Thank you to Prof. Dr. Christina Bannier for sharing her expertise on how banks can effectively manage climate risks and integrate them into their risk frameworks. We explored key aspects such as:

✅ Identifying and assessing material climate risks ✅ Climate risk stress testing for enhanced resilience ✅ Integrating climate risks into risk appetite frameworks

The discussion highlighted the importance of aligning risk management strategies with sustainability goals and regulatory expectations.

⭐ 🇪🇺 We had the honor of meeting with the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Capital Markets Union, and the Economy, Maria Luís Albuquerque, along with her cabinet and the Representation of the European Commission in Poland.

🔗 During the meeting, we had the opportunity to present Fintech Poland's initiatives, as well as the DEUSS project - European Blockchain Project for SME Financing. The discussion was highly engaging, with Commissioner Albuquerque showing great interest in the challenges and opportunities fintechs face as a key driver of financial innovation.

➡️ Alongside Pawel Widawski and Piotr Brewiński, valuable insights were also shared by key leaders: Dariusz Mazurkiewicz (BLIK), Marcin Adamczyk (Autopay), and Michal Lukasik (Kontomatik). Their perspectives highlighted the dynamic growth of the sector in Poland and the importance of fostering a regulatory environment that supports further innovation.

🤝 The conversation took place in a constructive and open atmosphere, allowing for a valuable exchange of perspectives on the regulatory and market landscape shaping the future of the sector in Europe.

Insights Exchange with HKIFA on Investment Landscape

#FSDC engaged in a dynamic exchange with the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (#HKIFA), joined by industry leaders and regulators, exploring key developments in HK's #InvestmentFunds landscape.

Our dialogue covered enhancing #MutualFundRecognition and #WealthManagementConnect schemes, supporting regulatory initiatives for #HongKongDomiciledFunds and #ListedAlternativeFunds, and identifying growth opportunities in #MainlandPension development, #SoutheastAsian and #MiddleEastern markets.

We also highlighted the importance of #InvestorEducation as a foundation for sustainable growth.

We look forward to collaborating with #HKIFA and stakeholders to strengthen Hong Kong's #FinancialEcosystem.
